The first series of the book, Herbal Tea for the Pagan Spirit: Inspirational Stories of the Pagan Path was a success!

Several years ago, thanks to the aid of Wren and Fritz of the Witches’ Voice, I put the word out that I needed personal stories from Pagans on their path for this book. Within a month, I received over thirty stories from around the world! Thanks to all who have contributed to the first volume! Without you, I could not have done this. Please note to all those who submitted stories for the first volume - I had some computer trouble shortly after the book was published, and I lost a lot of e-mail contacts. Ever since, I have attempted to contact the authors of those stories in order to send copies to those who requested them. If you are one of those authors whose story was published in my book, please contact me if you are still interested in a copy.

Now, as I had planned some time ago, I have decided to write volume two of this book!

So once again, I am looking for inspirational stories of the Pagan path. This book will not contain rituals or spells, but will contain positive experiences from both. Your help is greatly appreciated and will make this book a sure seller!

Positive Experiences Wanted for New Book! This is another step in learning and walking my path - learning from you!

I need your stories! Volume two of Herbal Tea for the Pagan Spirit is a compilation of spiritually uplifting, humorous anecdotes and experiences in Pagan lifestyles. This book will be similar to “Chicken Soup for the Soul”, but is exclusively for Pagans. Originally published in 2002, volume two is currently in the works and I have already received stories to include within, but I could definitely use more!

Content I am looking for:

  • Coming Home - Discovering the Pagan Path
  • Out of the Broom Closet
  • Overcoming Obstacles of Your Faith
  • Pagan Bloopers - or, a funny thing happened on the way to the circle…
  • Life Changing Experiences
  • Familiars
  • The Pagan Family
  • How Paganism helped overcome (addictions, bad behavior, negativty, etc.)
  • Fellowship
  • Poetry and Prose
  • Invocations

Content I am not looking for:

  • Hateful or negative experiences or provocation
  • Selfish or abusive magickal or spellwork
  • Bashing others in the Pagan community, or other religions, races, ethnicities, sexual orientation
  • This is not about politics, personal vendettas, crusades or agendas. Just stories

Stories should be no longer than two pages (approximately 1500 words), formatted in Microsoft Word (.doc) or standard text (notepad or saved as a .txt; .rtf file). NO HTML or graphics please.
You may submit your stories to emerys_somerled (AT) yahoo.com (be sure to remove the (AT) and replace it with @ before sending) with BOOK STORIES in the subject line.
